Rules where a firm's own pages disagree with each other. Instead of hiding it, we flag it — and don't publish a number until it's resolved. The humbler read always wins.
35rules where the firm contradicts itself · across 16 firms
5rules where the disagreement is between third parties — not counted above
Why it matters: a value the firm's own pages disagree on is exactly where you can get blindsided. Affiliate sites hide it because it breaks the buy funnel. We don't.
What it costs you: A trader relying on the banner may expect every requested payout to be honored; the help article's threshold, consistency and qualifying-day checks are the conditions under which it is not.
“Legacy Accounts Are Back For a Limited Time. Our Legacy Accounts evaluation accounts have returned across 6 balance tiers and 3 platforms. Available only while the promotion lasts.”
What it costs you: The Legacy 100K is the Apex product we rank, so if it could not be bought our price would not be buyable. The product page sells it today with a working signup button at $297/month, $29.70 with code SAVENOW and $125.00 activation. We are not picking a side: the homepage FAQ says the opposite and neither carries a date. If you intend to buy, check on the product page, which is the one that charges you.
Drawdown · Drawdown on the Fast Track $50,000 account, and whether it carries a daily loss limit
Firm contradicts itself
accounts-pricing page
“Fast Track $50,000: drawdown "$2,500", profit target "$3,000", contract limit "7", "Minimum trading days: None". Two risk models offered — "Trailing Drawdown" ("Your loss limit follows your highest point - including open positions, in real time") and "End-of-Day Drawdown" ("Your loss limit moves only once a day - at the close, on realised profit"), described as "Same account sizes, same targets, same platforms. Only the risk model changes." No daily loss limit stated.”
What it costs you: $250 of drawdown room separates the two pages, and only one of them mentions that an end-of-day option exists with a $1,200 daily loss limit and a lower contract cap. Sizing off the pricing page alone can put you over a limit you did not know applied. We keep $2,500 from the pricing page and do not pick a side; assume the tighter $2,250 and check which risk model you bought.
“$25,000 "$338", $50,000 "$488", $100,000 "$648", $150,000 "$788"; "The purchase price is a one-time, non-refundable fee: there is no activation fee and no monthly subscription"”
What it costs you: Both ladders are Bulenox's own and neither presents itself as a discount of the other — no strike-through, no "was", no promo label. The gap on the 50K alone is $313. We track $175 from the pricing page and do not pick a side. The always-on code BULENOX states no percentage anywhere we can read, so it cannot reconcile the two.
What it costs you: On a $100K One account the gap is $1,000 of daily room, and the limit is hard: touching it closes the account permanently. Trading to a 4% line when 3% is the one enforced ends the account a full percentage point early.
What it costs you: On a $100K One account this is $2,000 of drawdown room. Trade believing 6% when it is 4% and you breach $2,000 earlier than planned.
Pricing · How much E8's own code E8 discounts on E8 One (Forex)
Firm contradicts itself
Discount-code page
“Code "E8" listed at "10% off" for "E8 Pro (Forex), E8 Signature (Forex), E8 One (Forex)", applicability "All purchases", expiry "-". The same page separately lists "E8" at "50% off" and "30% off" for E8 Pro and E8 One (Perpetual), "E8" at "25% off" for E8 Signature (Futures), "REB8" at "35% off" for E8 Zero MAX and E8 Zero Starter (Futures), and "E8PATH" at "25% off" for E8 One, E8 Pro and E8 Signature (Forex), "First purchase".”
“Badge reads "25% OFF" with "Save $122 with code E8 on first order"; serves 200K "$798" -> "$599" and 100K "$488" -> "$366" at the default "6% Max" drawdown and "80%" split. $488 - $366 = $122, i.e. exactly 25%, not 10%.”
What it costs you: Fifteen percentage points, plus the question of whether the code works once or always. E8's discount page says code E8 is worth 10% on E8 One (Forex) and on all purchases; the product's own configurator applies 25% and describes it as valid on a first order. On the 200K we track, that distance is about $160. We compute with what the configurator serves, since that is where you pay, but we do not treat the disagreement as settled. Check the total at checkout before paying.
What it costs you: The May ToS did NOT contain the clause: the rule was added between May and July and the FAQ was never updated. Worse, the ToS says the covered events are listed here and links to a page with no list at all - no FOMC, no CPI, no NFP. You cannot know which event breaks your account.
“One-time, non-refundable fees in euros with no percentage, no promo code, no struck-through price and no end date anywhere on the page: $10,000 EUR 79, $25,000 EUR 199, $50,000 EUR 319, $100,000 EUR 499 (labelled best value), $200,000 EUR 999”
What it costs you: The banner claims a fifth off; the page it links to shows a flat fee with nothing struck through, so there is no way to tell what the discount is measured against or whether it has already been applied. We have not derived a pre-discount price from the claim. Take the euro figure on the promo page as the price you will pay and treat the 20% as unevidenced until FTMO shows the original.
What it costs you: Decides whether a floating loss counts. Under closed-balance you can sit down unclosed and think it does not count; under balance-or-equity you already broke the rule without seeing it.
What it costs you: On the program page the 30% code nets $384.30 off the $549.00 list — now the cheapest verifiable path; the homepage's $436.10 off $623.00 was not re-sighted on 2026-08-25 (card no longer statically rendered).
What it costs you: Secondary sources tie the 95% to a paid Lifetime 95% Reward add-on. Buying on the 95% headline means paying for something the help centre says the plan does not include.
“Profits made from trades opened or closed within the restricted window around any Restricted high-impact news and speeches on the affected currency may be deducted.”
What it costs you: The same FundingPips page supports both outcomes for overlapping conduct, and the only word separating them is "purposely", which is nowhere defined. We pick no side: plan on the penalty being the whole account, not just the trade's profit.
What it costs you: The difference between having a daily limit and not having one. Believing None and trading without a brake kills the account in one session.

Firm contradicts itself
Coupon FAQ, homepage and Three Phase page
“ONESTEP35 - 35% off 1-Phase, expires 31 December 2026; CHART30 - 30% off all programs excluding Instant Lite, expires 1 October 2026. The FAQ carrying this roster is itself stamped "Last Updated: January 31, 2024".”
2-Phase, 1-Phase and 3-Phase program pages - each serves the 30% roster AND a 20% banner at the same time
“Carries "NEW TRADERS: 35% OFF 1-PHASE" (ONESTEP35, expires "31st December 2026") and "THIS MONTH'S OFFER: 30% OFF ALL PROGRAMS (excl. Instant Lite)" (CHART30, expires "1st October 2026") - AND, on the same page, a separate banner with no expiry stated: "Back to Trading - summer sun is down, charts are back up. 20% off all programs. Use code CHART20." Re-read first-hand 2026-09-10, unchanged. On 2026-09-10 the same undated CHART20 banner was also found on https://fxify.com/programs/one-phase/ and https://fxify.com/programs/three-phase/, so the intra-page contradiction repeats on all three program pages; the homepage serves only ONESTEP35 and CHART30 and is clean. On 2026-09-08 the 2-Phase page served the older pair ONESTEP30 / CHART20 only; that earlier reading is superseded and was corrected publicly rather than edited silently.”
What it costs you: Ten percentage points on every program. On the 400K we track, the gap between a 20% and a 30% code is $295. As of 9 September the disagreement sits inside one page rather than between pages: FXIFY's 2-Phase page — the page for the very program we rank — serves CHART30 at 30% and a separate CHART20 banner at 20%, both worded as applying to all programs, and only the 30% one carries an expiry. We budget on 20%, the more conservative figure, and leave the better-looking one alone. Check the total at checkout: the code that applies is the one the cart honours, not the one the banner shows.
What it costs you: The FAQ is more specific, but the T&C is the document that governs a dispute. Trading the news on an instant account trusting the FAQ leaves you with no argument when they answer with the contract.
What it costs you: Budgeting a $100 reset when the real price is $199 on a 150K — or $79 on a 25K — misprices the retry decision by up to $99 in either direction.
What it costs you: Both pages are The5ers' own and both describe the same two entry tiers (New 10%/5%, Classic 8%/5%), so this is not two products. On a $100,000 account the gap is $2,000 of daily room. We hold 5% from the help centre and are not picking a side; treat 3% as the safer assumption until The5ers reconciles its pages.
What it costs you: A hundred dollars of difference on the gate to your first payout. The 2-Step plan rules page asks for $250 of profit; the withdrawals help page, read on 2026-09-07, asked for $150. We do not pick between them: help.the5ers.com did not open on any read of 2026-09-14, so the $150 is neither confirmed nor withdrawn. If you are about to request a first payout, plan for $250 and check the figure in your dashboard before you request it.
What it costs you: The overview points to the full news trading policy - which is the very article saying there is no policy. A trader reading the overview waits for rules that do not exist, or the reverse.
“40% OFF 5 TIME USE, THEN 30% OFF — code AUG — ending 31 AUGUST, 11:59PM EST (an older banner for code JULY ending 31 JULY, 11:59PM EST is served on the same page)”
What it costs you: One code, two different first-use discounts and two different use counts, both under an end date that passed on 31 August. Until Tradeify reconciles its pages, the price you actually pay cannot be computed from them — check the total at checkout.
What it costs you: Probably a stale FAQ after the 2026-05 relaunch, but it is still published and still a TradeDay page. $139 per evaluation passed if that is the one that governs.
What it costs you: $750 of daily room. Purchases before 2026-03-31 keep $3,750, so both figures can be true at once for different accounts. The Growth article does not say so.
What it costs you: Recorded as VERIFIED-SECONDARY because the reviews disagree with each other. Until captured from the firm own evaluations page, no figure is published as verified.
What it costs you: Not Topstep against itself: a third party asserting a change the firm site does not reflect. Shown unresolved and excluded from the self-contradiction count.
